Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006
An Act to provide for the prohibition of solemnisation of child marriages and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

An Act to amend the Commissions for Protection of Child Rights Act, 2005. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Maharashtra Right to Information (Repeal) Act, 2005
An Act to provide for repeal of the Maharashtra Right to Information Act, 2002 and for certain matters incidental thereto. WHEREAS the Right to Information Act, 2005 has been enacted by the Parliament and, therefore, it was considered expedient to repeal the Maharashtra Right to Information Act, 2002, and to provide for certain matters incidental thereto; AND WHEREAS both Houses of the State Legislature were not in session; AND WHEREAS the Governor of Maharashtra was satisfied that circumstances existed which rendered it necessary for him to take immediate action to repeal the Maharashtra Right to Information Act, 2002, for the purposes aforesaid; and, therefore, promulgated the Maharashtra Right to Information (Repeal) Ordinance, 2005, on the 5th October 2005; AND WHEREAS it is expedient to replace the said Ordinance by an Act of the State Legislature; it is hereby enacted in the Fifty-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Karnataka Right to Information (Repeal) Ordinance, 2005
An Ordinance to repeal the Karnataka right to Information Act, 2000. Whereas both the Houses of the Karnataka State Legislature are not in session and the Governor of Karnataka is satisfied that the circumstances exist which render it necessary for him to take immediate action to repeal the Karnataka Right to Information Act, 2000 (Karnataka Act 28 of 2000) for the purposes hereinafter appearing; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 213 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Karnataka is pleased to promulgate the following Ordinance, namely:-

An Act to repeal the Displaced Persons (Claims) Act, 1950 and certain other enactments. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Right To Information Act, 2005
An Act to provide for setting out the practical regime of right to information for citizens to secure access to information under the control of public authorities, in order to promote transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority, the constitution of a Central Information Commission and State Information Commissions and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. WHEREAS the Constitution of India has established democratic Republic; AND WHEREAS democracy requires an informed citizenry and transparency of information which are vital to its functioning and also to contain corruption and to hold Governments and their instrumentalities accountable to the governed; AND WHEREAS revelation of information in actual practice is likely to conflict with other public interests including efficient operations of the Governments, optimum use of limited fiscal resources and the preservation of confidentiality of sensitive information; AND WHEREAS

Blind and other Physically Handicapped Persons (Rehabilitation, Employment and Welfare) Bill, 2007
A Bill to provide for the rehabilitation, reservation of jobs and other welfare measures for the blind and other physically handicapped persons in the country and for matter connected therewith. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Destitute, Indigent and Neglected Citizens (Maintenance and Welfare) Bill, 2007
A BILL to provide for the due care, maintenance and welfare measures to be initiated by the State for those citizens who are destitute, indigent, stricken with poverty or infirmity due to old age, incurable disease or physically challenged ones, and those who are without independent source of livelihood like widows, senior citizens, orphans and underprivileged children and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Tribal Girls (Prevention of Abuse, Rehabilitation and Welfare) Bill, 2007
A BILL to provide for the prevention of abuse including physical abuse of tribal girls who are lured to shift to urban areas on the pretext of attractive employment and decent life and thereafter confined, exploited and abused and in many cases forced into prostitution and exploitation of tribal girls by forest personnel while collecting forest produce and for rehabilitation and welfare of such girls and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Euthanasia (Permission and Regulation) Bill, 2007
A Bill to provide for compassionate, humane and painless termination of life of individuals who have become completely and permanently invalid and/or bed-ridden due to suffering from incurable disease or any other reason and for matters connected therewith. Be it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

(Received the assent of the Governor on the Twenty Fifth day of November, 2006.) An Ordinance further to amend the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements Act, 1999. Destitute and Needy Senior Citizens (Care, Protection and Welfare) Bill, 2005
A Bill to provide for proper care of senior citizens who are destitute by their kith and kins and the Government and for protection of lonely or old couples by way of appropriate security measures by local police, and for other welfare measures and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. Be it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Needy and Neglected Senior Citizens and Orphans and Runaway Children (Care, Rehabilitation and Welfare) Bill, 2005
A Bill to provide for the care, maintenance and other welfare measures to be undertaken by the Union and State Governments for the needy and neglected senior citizens who cannot maintain themselves or who have been neglected by their children for economic and other compelling reasons and for the care, rehabilitation and welfare measures for the orphan and runaway street children by the State through education and other means and for matters connected therewith and incidental thereto. Be it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Commissions For Protection Of Child Rights Bill, 2005
A Bill to provide for the constitution of a National Commission and State Commissions for Protection of Child Rights and Children's Courts for better protection of child rights and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. WHEREAS India participated in the United Nations (UN) General Assembly in 1990, which adopted a Declaration on Survival, Protection and Development of Children; AND WHEREAS India has also acceded to the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) on the 11th December, 1992; AND WHEREAS CRC is an international treaty that makes it incumbent upon the signatory States to take all necessary steps to protect children's rights enumerated in the Convention; AND WHEREAS in order to ensure protection of rights of children one of the recent initiatives that the Government have taken for Children is the adoption of National Charter for Children, 2003; AND WHEREAS the UN General Assembly Special Session on Children held in May, 2002 adopted an Outcome Do
